| (IMPORTANT - see LATEST NEWS BELOW for venue news). We are a small, friendly chess club based in Burton-on-Trent. We meet on Tuesdays at 7:30 p.m. throughout the year. Whether you're looking for a casual game of chess, want to learn more about chess, or would like to play league chess, we would be delighted to see you. We have players of standards from BCF 60 - 150 (if you're better than that we'd be especially pleased to see you!). Age or playing standard are no barrier . . . . . | |
The Old Cottage Tavern is on Byrkley St., Burton Upon Trent. From the A38 (Clay Mills) junction, follow Derby Road into the Centre of Burton. Follow the road as it feeds round to the right to face the Town Hall. Turn right at the Town Hall, then take the first road on the left (Byrkley St.) The Old Cottage Tavern is on the left hand side. Membership of the club costs just £12 per year (2004 - 2005). If you're interested in joining us, get in touch. We look forward to seeing you.
